Round 3 starts later… after only 3 well days it feels a lot more difficult than previous Rounds. I rely on those well days to give me the resilience and strength for the next week. So a little depleted, here we go…
Round 2 was not great. A DrP checkin phonecall gave me more of a reality check. From now on the positives must come from without the medicalcentric point of view I have developed over these last few months.
Now more than ever I must focus on each day and lose myself in the good stuff. Because the most that can be extracted from the chemo process now is that my body responds to it.
The 3mm growth in my lung and slight growth of the main tumor into my stomach lining was the news from the frontline. This readout from the scan after the Summer break.
Now the aim is to get back control and suppress further growth…
It has left me sad but focused on my why. Hope now resides in control but ultimately as my mind loses its shape, lingers longer in a sunrise, in the arms of my husband, the firm hugs from friends and the face of my Dixie.
So here’s to the little things, long may they give me the strength and sustenance to take the steps needed…
With much love 🧡
